Alsace  Grand Cru by Domaine J Gsell, Organic Gewurztraminer, Vendanges tardives are the grapes harvested after the noble rot has started to present itself, the grapes have such a high concentration of sugar that the natural yeast is killed before all the sugar is consumed and turned into alcohol. Leaving us with a sweet wine of great complexity and finesse and an intensity of flavours that are simply overwhelming. It's a wine to be enjoyed as an aperitif or dessert and also pairs perfectly well with foie gras or strong blue cheeses, it's a guilty pleasure.
